We would like to inform you about the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), which was enacted to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, particularly privacy, in the processing of personal data and to determine the obligations of real and legal persons processing personal data.
Under the law, personal data is defined as "any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person," and processing is defined as "any operation performed on data such as obtaining, recording, storing, retaining, altering, reorganizing, disclosing, transferring, taking over, making available, classifying, or preventing the use of personal data, wholly or partially, by automated or non-automated means, provided that it is part of any data recording system."
1. Purpose of the Disclosure Statement and Our Company’s Role as Data Controller:
Our company, DizaynLIFE Curtains & Furniture, presents this disclosure to fulfill the obligation under Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) regarding the processing of personal data of our customers and third parties using our websites. DizaynLIFE Curtains & Furniture reserves the right to update this Personal Data Protection Disclosure Statement at any time in line with changes to the current legislation.
2. Purpose of Processing and Sharing Personal Data of Customers:
Your personal data is used for the following purposes:
- To verify the identity of the purchaser making a transaction on our websites,
- To record address and other necessary contact information for communication,
- To communicate with our customers regarding the terms, current status, and updates of the agreements we have signed under the Distance Selling Agreement and relevant provisions of the Consumer Protection Law,
- To prepare all records and documents as a basis for processing in electronic (internet/mobile, etc.) or physical environments,
- To provide information to public officials upon request and as required by legislation concerning public security,
- To improve the shopping experience of our customers, inform them about our products of interest, and share campaigns,
- To increase customer satisfaction, recognize customers who shop on our websites, analyze the customer base, conduct marketing and advertising activities, and conduct surveys electronically or physically through agreed institutions,
- To provide recommendations to customers via our partners and solution providers, inform them about our services,
- To evaluate customer complaints and suggestions regarding our services,
- To fulfill legal obligations and exercise our rights arising from current legislation,
- To prevent fraud and other illegal activities.
Necessary technical and legal measures are taken to prevent rights violations during the transfer of data to third parties.
Your personal data, excluding license information, may be shared with our direct/indirect domestic/foreign affiliates, program partners, and organizations we cooperate with to carry out our activities, individuals and organizations from which we receive cloud storage services domestically and abroad, organizations we have agreements with for sending commercial electronic messages to our customers, the Interbank Card Center, and partner banks.
3. Method and Legal Basis for Collecting Personal Data:
Personal data collected through our websites or via customer service interactions are processed by DizaynLIFE Curtains & Furniture in accordance with customer consent and legislative provisions. Personal data collected for the above-mentioned legal reasons can be processed and shared within the scope of the purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law and this Disclosure and Consent Statement.
4. Customer Rights as Personal Data Owners:
Under Article 11 of the Law, data owners have the following rights:
- To learn whether their personal data is processed,
- To request information about their processed personal data,
- To learn the purpose of data processing and whether it is used for its intended purpose,
- To know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,
- To request correction of incomplete or incorrect personal data and request notification of the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,
- To request the deletion or destruction of personal data despite being processed in accordance with the provisions of the Law and other relevant laws, if the reasons for processing no longer exist, and to request notification of the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,
- To object to a result arising against them by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems,
- To demand compensation in case of damages due to unlawful processing of personal data.
